Mountain Update.
New Post, new location. No longer am i suffering in the prairies, but am now loving being in the mountains! A long time ago i decided that i grew up in the wrong area. Biking and other such outdoor activities are much more enjoyed in a foresty, hilly place, called the rockies! However when we showed up here, it was snowing like christmas.
Its been a month since i moved so getting settled into my job and home has been going well. Along with riding my bike on some of the most awesome trails i've ridden in a while.
Nothing really exciting has happened. Stella's been super happy now that she has free roam of a house all day long, and its been nice moving out, more privacy, and ALL THE FOOD I BUY I EAT! yes!
in the past week, i've had two baby bear encounters, aparently the bears are more aparent at this time of year...great...
On another note, i actually got to go snowboarding before the hill closed for the summer :) free board!

Cyclist Tan here i come!
WOO its actually sunny today, and its actually warm enough i don't have to cover every part of my body in fabric!
(I am such a goob)
I've decided that becuase you know riding your bike is much more important than studying for the impending doom that is called exams that i'm going to put in some miles this week. And what a lovely day to start. Started off with a good headwind (the e-net says 37 km/hr) out to red river drive, oh good memories there.
I'm still suprised the river is up so high cause its been a while since we've had any snow and there has definatly been no significant amount o rain.
And now here i am sitting inside on this oh so beautiful day cramming for tomorrow's massacre in Computer Science(ie the final exam, well thank god it's at least going to be over)
Why do all of the beautiful days happen either when i'm working the stuipd saturday shift or when its always impossible to go outside. ARGH
oh well.

First Epic Ride of the Season
Wind, Rain, Hail, rising rivers, and MUDDDDD
yea Winnipeg weather makes for tough racers, and good memoiers. With the rivers rising these days it may make for a poor mountain bike ride, however theres always trails to ride, wet muddy trails :D. At one point on the ride the wind was so strong that i almost go blown into a car.
Also featured was frozen toes, terrible throat cold, and hail stringed faces.

Wicked so for some weird reason (wait isn't this called global warming), a nice turn of events has happened where I can FINNALY not wear 50 layers to ride outside! YAY! Lets just hope this lasts so i can acutally get some long rides in before i go away to my new summer home in CANMORE! :D Only Seven weeks till i leave and it just can't come soon enough!
